Ingredients
  

  • 1 orange
  • 3 lemons
  • 0.5 lb fresh ginger
  • 1 medium root turmeric
  • a pinch cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 cup coconut water or regular water

Instructions
 

  • Wash all of the produce. Cut off the peel from the orange and lemon and chop up the ginger (no need to peel it).
  • If have a juicer, simply place all of the ingredients in the juicer and juice them.
  • If you do not have a juicer, add the orange, lemon, ginger, turmeric, cayenne, and coconut water to a blender and blend them all together.
  • Once you've blended everything, pour the mixture over a sieve to separate out the pulp.
  • Pour the ginger shots into small glass bottles, or transfer to a larger bottle and then pour into shot-sized glasses when you're ready to enjoy them!

Notes

Be sure to shake your fresh ginger shots before drinking. Wash your produce, especially the ginger and turmeric which you aren't peeling. The flavor can be intense, mix it with juice or tea if desired.
